News Update

The news this morning is that late last night they reversed their decision to fire the head of the military. It would seem that everyone is happy, the crisis has been averted and life on the streets is normal. Let's hope it stays that way.

In other good news for the country (but lousy news for me) the bandh in the Terai has been lifted. The roads were cleared last night and fuel is being shipped into the Kathmandu valley as I type this. I guess that I'll be back to 16 hours per day of load shedding as early as this afternoon. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
